Well its about time I wrote some more about what has been happening here in Eumundi. Last Saturday it was the Original Eumundi Markets 30th birthday celebration, and what a day it was! Setting up in the pouring rain at 5.30am certainly didn’t dampen the excitment. It was quite hilarious seeing flares, afro wigs, plenty of peace signs, platform shoes all adorning stall holders as we set up for the day. Many of the visitors on the day did not know of the 70’s theme for the day and I am sure they thought that Eumundi was really stuck in a time warp in 1979, even the bands on the day were blasting out plenty of disco. A great day was had by all and a lot of hard work had been put in by the managers of the markets to make the day a very groovy one. Will put up some photos soon.

One of my favourite bands
February 14, 2009After a very, very wet market day here in Eumundi today, I look forward to putting my feet up when I get home (before the kids go feral with hunger!) and listen to one of my favourite bands. I must admit that I am a bit biased as Alan and Kristin Kelly are not only 2 fabulously talented muscians but wonderful supportive friends and I am deeply blessed to have them in my life. Their website is www.barleyshakes.com and if you enjoy folk music of the celtic kind check them out, you won’t be dissapointed. Enjoy

Thank you little brother
February 13, 2009I have to say a big thank you to my little brother, Colin Laidlaw for getting me up and running in cyberspace!
Not much stitching achieved over last few days as too busy scratching my head over how I work all of this techno stuff, much more comfortable with needle and thread. Thanks again Col.

Getting online slowly
February 11, 2009Hi there, amongst hand dyeing and organising 2 kids, 1 dog, 4 chickens and 2 fish. I have finally started selling some of my wares online at www.etsy.com. You can find my shop at fidesignseumundi.etsy.com, I will be gradually adding products over the next few days, to start with Kimmy Koala is there for sale.
